1960’s and 1970’s
This is a poor quality picture but it shows what we believe is the first Camp Shamrock on the site of what’s now the YMCA. The tents were on loan from the British Army!

This photo was taken around 1971. Bert R centre with Easton Vance on the left and Billy Foy on the right. This was during a river walk (obviously when there was not so much emphasis on safety equipment!).
